Brandon Michael Fox

Brandon Michael Fox was born December 19, 1986, in Bismarck ND to Brenda Marie Fox and Dennis Allen Wetzel. Brandon was a very cute and active toddler. He was so excited when his brother, Brooks Micah Fox, was born August 1, 1988. They were each other’s best friend and at times worst enemy through the years.

Brandon struggled at an early age with mental health issues particularly ADHD, depression, and anxiety. He did well in school academically but struggled with poor behavior throughout his elementary and middle school years in Fargo ND. At the age of 14, Brandon moved in with his father and graduated high school in Bismarck, ND. He continued to struggle with his mental health and did not get the right support. Because of this, he experienced some very serious legal trouble.

Brandon moved back to Fargo ND at age 18 with the help of his mother, Brenda, and his uncle Steve Fox. He was taken in by family friends, Caren, Eric, and Keisha Hendrickson. As well as his best friend Dan Nelson and others. He found employment with Midwest Made Meat in Fargo, working off and on there, and other places as much as he could. Brandon’s daughter, Tiana was born Feb 6, 2008.

Brandon had a severe car accident that left him with a broken back and traumatic brain injury. At this point Brandon’s mental health declined severely and his physical health equally as much. This left him permanently disabled. He struggled to maintain employment and housing, which resulted in a few instances of homelessness.

Mental illness was part of Brandon’s story, but not his whole story. He was passionate about God and throughout 2022-2024 he walked literally 100’s of miles going from town to town to spread the word of God. Through all the setbacks life threw at him, his faith and love in God never faltered. His “mission” in life was to help and house homeless people. He gave selflessly even though it was detrimental to his own stability. He very much believed he needed to help others for his own salvation.

Brandon enjoyed practicing his guitar, fishing, and watching Fail Army with his family. He also enjoyed spending time playing games and watching movies with them. His last determined act in life was to provide a phone for his daughter and make the payments and did so for months prior to his death. It was very important for him to see this done. He loved his daughter as much as he did God and tried to help everyone he could. He had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his mother Brenda M. Fox, his brother Brooks M. Fox, his daughter Tiana Fox, Gramma Ellie, Uncle Steve and Aunt Stacey, Uncle Mark, Aunt Fonda and cousin Yavonne.

Brandon lived with challenges that were often difficult to understand, but through it all, he remained deeply loved and will be remembered for so much more than the battles he faced. Rest well my SUN. You deserved better than this world and the people in it gave you. God is watching over you as you no longer suffer any pain.

A memorial service will be held in Brandon’s memory on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Lighthouse Church in Fargo, ND. Following the service the family would like to invite everyone to visit at the Ash Shelter in Lindenwood Park for food and fellowship. Brandon’s family would also like to encourage everyone to dress casually.
