Karen R. Fluegel

Karen Fluegel of Fargo, North Dakota died September 16th at the age of 86.

Karen was born on March 14, 1940 in Fargo to Erwin and Mildred (Buchholz) Fluegel. She was baptized at the Goshen Moravian Church.

Karen graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1958. She then graduated from Moorhead State College with a BS degree in elementary education in 1962.

Upon graduation Karen went to teach school at the Moravian children’s home near Kwethluk, Alaska. She then spent the next 40 years either teaching or managing the Moravian Book Store in the Bethel, Alaska area.

Karen is survived by eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Erwin and Mildred, her sister Verlyn Claus, her brothers Dorwin and Wesley, and her nephew Dean Claus.
