LoAnn M. Warnsholz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of LoAnn Marie Warnsholz. She passed peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Bethany Home on University in Fargo, ND.

LoAnn was born to Harold and Pearl Hanson on August 9, 1944, in Gary, MN. She graduated from Gary High School in 1962. While in high school, her mother died suddenly and LoAnn helped her father care for her youngest brother, David. After graduating she started working at Tommy’s Grocery Store where she earned enough money to buy her first car, a Chevrolet.

She met the love of her life, Royce, and married on May 27, 1967. They were married for almost 60 years. They started a family and raised four beautiful children: Heath, Heather, Harwood, and Marty. She worked on their family farm and helped feed the calves and clean the milking equipment.
After farming for years, they moved to Montana where she worked in the housekeeping industry. They eventually moved back to Minnesota where she was the housekeeping supervisor at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN. Once retired, they spent 18 years wintering in Mesa, AZ where she enjoyed working part time as a hostess for the Arizona Opry.

She enjoyed baking for the holidays, quilting, and lefse making (everyone loved her lefse). In her later years she loved reading books and doing embroidery. There is not a kitchen in the family without a set of her hand embroidered towels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Pearl Hanson; and brother Rodney Hanson.

She is survived by her husband, Royce Warnsholz (Fargo); brother David (Audrey) Hanson (Gary); children, Heath (Deb) Warnsholz (Seymour, IN), Heather
(Kim) Warnsholz (Lauderdale, MN), Harwood (Deb) Warnsholz (Fargo), and Marty (Melanie) Warnsholz (Southern Pines, NC); as well as seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND, with a family visitation one hour prior and a luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Fargo, in LoAnn’s memory.
