Patricia Muldoon, 79, of West Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Eventide Care Center in Fargo, ND.
Patricia Kay Johnson was born on February 8, 1947, in Baker, MT, to Arthur and Bebe (Hanson) Johnson. She was raised on the family farm in Rhame, ND, where she attended country school and graduated from Rhame High School in 1965. She went on to attend nursing school at Dickinson State.
Patricia married the love of her life, Dennis Rae Muldoon, on October 7, 1966, and together they had two children; Dennis James and Mary Ellen. After marrying, they made their first home in Bowman, ND, before moving to West Fargo, ND, in 1969.
Patricia dedicated her life to the service of others. Over the years, she worked as a nursing assistant, restaurant server, Avon representative, and later as a senior companion, taking great joy in giving her time as a caregiver. She devoted her time and attention to her many friends and community. An avid sports fan, she loved cheering for NDSU sports (Go Bison!), the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, the Minnesota Twins, and the Minnesota Vikings. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching crime dramas, and playing bingo. Through the years, she was an active member and dedicated volunteer at both Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Patricia will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, her teasing nature, and her lifelong love of candy (both giving and receiving).
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Mary (John) Swanson of Omaha, NE; granddaughters, Megan (Austin) Koenemann of Omaha, NE, Peyton (John) Perrin of Fargo, ND, Courtney (Leah) Swanson of Tumwater, WA, and Mio Swanson of Tumwater, WA; grandsons Tyler (Aria) Swanson of Tumwater, WA, and Hunter (Katy) Swanson, of Omaha, NE; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Rohan, Leo, Carter, Claire, Eleanor, Miles, Felix, and Lily; brothers, Arthur (Marie) Johnson and Harold (Lynne) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Marlow) Muldoon and Barbara (Dallas) Lebus and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis R. Muldoon; her son, Dennis J. Muldoon; her grandson, LCpl Adam Travis Cooper; her siblings, June (LeRoy) VanEckhout, Harry Johnson, and Rene Strand; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marlow (Joyce) Muldoon and Diane (Don) Leeper.
A Service will be held October 8th at 1:00 PM at Eventide, 3225 51st Street South, Fargo, ND 58104

We have known Pat and Dennis for years as they were close friends of our Family who lived in West Fargo. What a fun couple to get to know. They were so good hearted and supportive through many years. Pat indeed loved to laugh and have fun teasing, but had a heart of gold. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We pray God’s comfort of peace and strength for these days ahead.

So sorry to hear of Patricia passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. She was a roommate to my niece. I enjoyed visiting with her when I came to visit. Iam sure my niece and her are having a long talk in heaven, We will miss her
