Judy A. Iten, 79, of Fargo, ND, passed away on October 11, 2026.
Judy was born on July 10, 1947, to Raymond and Stella (Demaine) Winter and was raised on a farm in Hallock, MN. She married Leonard Iten on November 5, 1966. Together, they moved to northern Idaho, where they began their family and welcomed three children: Leen, Sue, and Keith.
Judy worked as a bookkeeper for Zanetti Brothers until 1986, when the family moved to Fargo, ND. She then worked in the office for her brother, Glen Winter, until his retirement. Afterward, she joined a group travel business, where her love of travel continued to grow. Eventually, Judy followed her dream and started her own travel business, Judy’s Leisure Tours.
Through her business, Judy traveled the world and formed lasting friendships with so many wonderful people. She was loved by many, and if someone needed help and she was able, Judy was always willing to lend a hand.
Above all, Judy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved hosting family gatherings and making everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open, and it was not uncommon for her grandchildren to bring friends along. Judy welcomed the extra company and enjoyed having a house filled with people, laughter, and memories.
Judy dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend with each of them. She made a special effort to create individual memories with every grandchild, sharing activities and moments. These treasured times will remain a lasting part of the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Judy is survived by her son, Leen (Jodi) Iten of Gardner, ND; her daughter, Sue (Kory) Goulet of Fargo, ND; and her grandchildren, Devin Goulet (Kara Skavlem), Jacob Iten, Taylor Iten (Adam Berhow), Hunter Goulet, Zachary Iten, Hannah Goulet, and Paige Iten, all of Fargo, ND; Keesha Goulet of Lisbon, ND; and Jeffery Goulet (Liberty) of Craig, CO. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sage, Leonard (Leo), Kase, and Kylah, along with many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Stella; her husband, Leonard; her son, Keith Iten; and three brothers, one brother -in-law, and four sisters-in-law.
Judy will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her passion for travel, and the many friendships she built along the way. Her welcoming home and the memories she created with those she loved will be cherished for years to come.
Memorial donations may be made in Judy’s memory to the North Dakota Association for the Blind (NDAB).
