Some people come into this world with a light so bright, a heart so kind, and a spirit so beautiful that their presence forever changes the lives of those around them. Dana Coppin was one of those rare souls. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Dana was born on July 20, 1992, in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Mark and Rachel Coppin. She grew up in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 2010. From an early age, Dana possessed a special gift for connecting with people. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness drew others to her, and she had a way of making everyone feel welcome, accepted, and loved.
Dana carried that caring spirit into her professional life as a massage therapist at Pure Bliss Massage and Wellness in Fargo, North Dakota. Her gentle nature and compassion for others made her work more than simply a profession. It was another way for her to bring comfort, kindness, and healing into the lives of those around her.
On January 18, 2020, Dana married the love of her life, Lucas Zipfel. Together, they built a life filled with love and were blessed with two beautiful sons, Eli and Theo. Of all the roles Dana embraced throughout her life, none brought her greater happiness or pride than being a mother. Her boys were her world, her greatest joy, and the brightest lights in her life. She loved them with all her heart, and the love she poured into their lives will remain a part of them forever. The precious moments they shared, both big and small, will always be treasured.
Dana was sunshine; a beautiful, one-of-a-kind soul whose warmth, laughter, and easygoing spirit made people feel comfortable and loved simply by being near her. She had a magnetic presence and a kindness that left a lasting mark on everyone she touched, often winning hearts from the very first meeting. A devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend, Dana brought love to the many lives she was part of. Her gentle heart extended to animals, too, as a loving advocate and rescuer. Truly beautiful inside and out, Dana leaves behind cherished memories and a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
On October 29, 2026, Dana passed away at the age of 34, leaving behind a family and countless friends who loved her beyond measure. Her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, but her beautiful spirit and the love she shared will never be forgotten.
Dana is survived by her loving husband, Lucas Zipfel; their cherished sons, Eli and Theo; her parents, Mark and Rachel Coppin of Fargo, North Dakota; and her brother, Josh (Jillian) Coppin of Fargo, North Dakota; her nephew, Thorin and her niece, Eira. She is also remembered with love by her extended family and the many dear friends whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Nicole Coppin; her paternal grandparents, Allen and Greta Coppin; and her maternal grandparents, Arvid and Adeline Anderson.
Dana’s life was not measured by the number of years she was given, but by the extraordinary amount of love she gave in those years. She taught us, simply by being herself, the beauty of kindness, the joy of laughter, and the importance of making others feel loved. She was a daughter to be proud of, a sister to cherish, a wife to adore, a mother whose love knew no bounds, and a friend whose presence could brighten even the darkest day.
We will miss her smile, her laughter, her hugs, and all the little things that made Dana so wonderfully Dana. We will grieve the moments we will never get to share, while holding close the beautiful memories she gave us. And when we see her light reflected in the eyes and smiles of Eli and Theo, we will be reminded that a love as beautiful as Dana’s never truly leaves us.
