Alex Peter Zink, born on March 24, 1981, in Carrington, North Dakota, passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 44. At the time of his passing, Alex resided in North Fargo, an area he cherished, surrounded by the memories and experiences that defined his life.

Throughout his years, Alex cultivated a profound love for ice fishing, a passion that brought him countless hours of joy and tranquility. His enthusiasm for NDSU Athletics was equally fervent, as he frequently shared his excitement and unwavering support for his favorite teams.

Alex is survived by his father, Peter Zink, who cherished their shared moments and adventures. He is also survived by his brothers, Russell and Chris (Jamie)Zink, and his sister, Beth (Bryan) Wetli as well as 9 nieces and nephews. Alex was proceeded in death by his mother, Bonita Zink, leaving a legacy of love and strength that Alex carried forward.

As we remember Alex, we celebrate a life filled with laughter, passion, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his stories will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved him.

A private family memorial will be held at a future date.

  3. A lot of times when I was in fargo I took him out to deaner’s diner the Cork for steak.. always that Alex sense of humor.. You had to be on your A game with him… he would always help ya….🪖 🎖 vet 72…

    He was my neighbor for many years he was always very friendly. Chatting with him once in awhile always made me chuckle. He will be missed.
