Anna Grothmann

Anna Grothmann Hillsboro, North Dakota Formerly of Grandin, North Dakota Anna passed away on October 31, 2006, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home at the age of 91. Anna was born on March 24, 1915, in Grandin, the daughter of August and Anna (Bettermann) Grothmann. She was baptized on April 18, 1915, and confirmed at St. John Evangelical Church in Bohnsack, Township on August 17, 1930. Anna grew up in Grandin and received her education. At an early age she began caring for her family. She served her family and provided a wonderful example of living a Christian life since her early teens. Anna was very active at her church. She taught Sunday School for 26 years. Her deep love for her extended family and friends will be sorely missed. To know Anna was to love her. Anna is survived by her brother, Henry ?Hank? Grothmann of Hillsboro; her sisters, Irene Gesell of Miltona, Minnesota; and Elaine (Jim) Johnston of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota; and several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Willy, August, and Carl; her sisters, Marian Mayo and Martha Grothmann; and her brother in law, Sy Gesell.
