It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of April Joy Hendrickson. April passed away on October 18, 2024, in Fargo, ND at the age of 49 with her loved ones by her side. Born on November 29, 1974, April was an undeniable force of nature that devoted her life to her family and friends.

April grew up in Enderlin, ND and pursued a career as a caregiver and most recently, with Noridian. Never one to rest, she excelled at school by graduating early from High School and again from college. This drive was noticed by everyone who met her and she hated to be told she could not work.

Throughout her life, April’s most meaningful joys were her family, friends, her many dogs, reading, and spending time on the water. And of course, she was an amazing cook and baker that didn’t find the need to follow recipes. She made sure you never left her home with an empty stomach, and just as importantly, she ensured that those who did not have a place to celebrate a holiday, never felt alone.

And when it came to Christmas, everyone knew it was just best to agree with what she said; marvel at the dozen Christmas trees she decorated throughout her house; and to sit down to a Christmas feast that she made with you in her heart.

April is survived by her loving husband, Randy Hendrickson; sons, Jake and Jordan Grossman; daughter, Breanna Remmick; MeeMaw’s little helper, Luella Langer; host daughter, Mareike Piehl; mother, Mary Remmick; and brothers, Jason and Russell (Rusty) Remmick. She was preceded in death by her father, Perry (PJ) Remmick; and grandmother, Eunice Remmick.

April’s life will be celebrated by her family and friends, who will forever remember her fierce spirit and loving nature.

  5. I’m very saddened by April’s passing. She was so fun to work with. I’m glad I had a couple occasions to spend time with her outside of work. She was a joy to be around. She is one of the most generous people I have the pleasure to have met. She and Randy donated to the United Way Christmas Toy drive for our team last year. I can only imagine how happy the girls were that received their gifts. Sending prayers to Randy and all of her friends and family. It will not be the same without her.
