Funeral Mass:

Arden Feser, a beloved husband, father, friend, and Renaissance man, passed away on October 20, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Born on December 11, 1940, in Bismarck, ND, Arden was the youngest of six children in the Feser family, cherished and remembered by his siblings-Rick, Clarence, Adrian, Marilyn, and Dick.

Arden’s life journey began at Glen Ullin Elementary and High School, with formative years spent at the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, where he cultivated a deep appreciation for the joys of life. He furthered his education at the Wahpeton School of Science in 1959 and began his career working in the Highway Department for his uncle. In 1960, Arden made his way to Fargo, where he later married the love of his life, Donna, on May 12, 1962, at St. Mary’s Church. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Shawn and Travis, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Arden was known to his friends as a Renaissance man-a cultural enthusiast whose interests spanned music, sports, and community service. He was a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame, and NDSU Bison Football, loved watching horse racing, and enjoyed British comedy and drama. A talented musician at heart, Arden adeptly played the guitar, bass, piano, organ, drums, and accordion, often sharing his gift with others through song. His zest for reading was only paralleled by his joy in cultivating his garden, where he found solace and beauty in nature. His dry sense of humor and wealth of knowledge left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Professionally, Arden dedicated 37 years to Welu Dental Lab in North Fargo, contributing his skills and experience as a dental technician. He also lent his talents to the CPA firm of his uncle, Adam Thiel, Randy Roder, and his cousin, Sandy Thiel, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. As a devoted member of the Air National Guard, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks organization, Arden actively participated in his community and enriched the lives of many through his service and kindness.

In the words of musician Laurie Anderson, “When father dies, it’s like the whole library burns down.” While we may never fully capture the vast extent of Arden’s knowledge and the wealth of experiences he shared, we will forever hold dear his spirit of kindness and the warmth he brought to our lives. Most importantly, Arden’s boundless love for his family and commitment to the community will continue to inspire us all.
Arden is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Donna; and children, Shawn and Travis Feser.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Elizabeth; and his siblings.

Funeral services to honor Arden will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 3, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo, where family and friends will come together to celebrate his incredible life. A Prayer service will be held at 7 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, with a visitation beginning at 5 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo. We invite all who knew Arden to reflect on their cherished memories and the legacy he leaves behind.

Arden Feser-a man of many talents, laughter, and love-will be profoundly missed.

  2. Mel & Elaine Bennefeld4833 says:

Donna and Family, you have our sympathy and Condolence upon seeing that Arden has passed on, we served together with the Happy Hooligans and he was on my flight of security personnel at the weapons storage site in the early 60’s, we spent many a hour together out in the rain, cold, wind and snow. I will miss the visits that we always had at Hornbacher’s while we both shopping and also setting at the table in the Library remembering old times together, Fly High, Old Friend, Fly High.

  3. My condolences to Donna, Shawn & Travis. My uncle Arden’s talent and passion for music and all things guitar, along with his commitment to family, friends and Christ made a profound positive impact on my life.

  4. Donna – and sons –
