It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice (Klein) Schall announces the passing of their dear mother on Tuesday, August 27 at the age of 94. Bea was born on March 16, 1925 in Balta, ND, to Frank and Christine Klein; the second oldest of eleven children. She attended grade school in Silva, ND and graduated high school from Balta, ND. She taught two years of grade school in a country school before marrying the love of her life, Joseph Schall on Oct. 15, 1945. They were blessed with 73 years of marriage before Joe passed away 7 months ago. They spent their honeymoon year in Pontiac, Michigan before moving back to Balta to farm for the next 17 years during which they were blessed with 7 children. In 1963 they purchased the Hamilton Motel in Rugby, ND, which was their home and business until they retired in 1978. During retirement, they enjoyed winters in Arizona and making trips to see their children and grandchildren. In 2003, they moved to Riverview Place in Fargo to live closer to their family. Bea made her last move to Edgewood Senior Living in Blaine, MN, near children, last March after losing her husband, Joe. Bea was a faithful member of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby, a dedicated member of the Christian Mothers Circle, and Catholic Daughters of America. Her favorite activities were bowling, dancing, playing cards, and hosting friends and family for dinner. She also enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, sewing, and baking. Beatrice is survived by her children, Marilyn Tuchscherer, Blaine, MN, David (Sheila) Schall, Elk River, MN, Margie (Greg) Jenrich, Corcoran, MN, Jolette (David) Olig, Fargo, ND, Susan (Jerry) Miller, Omaha, NE, Leann (Steve) Christopherson, Waconia, MN, and Jim (Kylene) Schall. Clear Lake, MN, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and sisters, Delores Carlos, Arlene (Richard) Schmaltz, and Kathy (Tom) Schwinghamer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Eleanor and Lorraine, and brothers, Christ, Leo, Henry, Harold, and Jerry. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept.3, at CHI Riverview Chapel in Fargo. Visitation will also be held at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.on Monday, Sept. 2 at Boulger Funeral Home.
