Becky Coste

Becky Marie Coste died unexpectedly June 28, 2021 in her West Fargo home at the age of 54.
October 13, 1966 was the day Becky greeted this world, born in Moorhead MN to Elaine and Luverne Jensen. Becky was born just a day before her older brother, Russ, turned one, giving the two a special bond and closeness that no one could duplicate. Irish twins they were called. Having grown up in Dilworth as well as Moorhead MN, she graduated then made her home in Moorhead in 1985. Becky was married that same year and though the marriage ended, it resulted in two of her greatest blessings - her children, Tony and Andy of whom she treasured.
Becky began building a career in sales. She sold advertising for local TV stations as well as radio broadcasting groups. She loved her work and was incredibly good at it. Around 2007 she decided to give Colonial Life a try. She found that she really loved the insurance sales world. With her boys grown and living out on their own, she was free to travel for her work and this opened many doors for her. She enjoyed meeting new people, seeing new places, and having the time to get to know her clients. It was not uncommon for her to be talking to clients, handling claims, or sending emails to make sure something wasn’t forgotten after “work” hours. She made a lot of friends and that meant the world to her. She was so much more than just the insurance lady to her clients.
Though her work was an important part of her life, nothing was ever more important than her family. She was so proud of her boys and all their accomplishments. She was encouraging and supportive even when Tony told her he was going to be moving to another country for his work. She knew it was a remarkable opportunity and didn’t want him to pass it up. Her son Andy gave her the most precious gifts a mother could ask for, grandchildren. After she met her grandchildren, every future decision was suddenly based on how it might affect them. She and her new love, Paul, spent many weekends visiting Andy and his children and once they bought a house large enough for everyone to sleep comfortably, the kids came to visit them. Now that they had a large home and a large yard with plenty of room to roam, they had an opportunity to add a “puppy” to their household. Sandy, their pit bull, loved visitors because that meant extra belly rubs for her.
Becky may be gone but her spirit and memory will be kept alive by all those that she left behind. Her love; Paul Olgeirson, mother; Elaine Jensen, brother; Russ Jensen, sisters; Rachel Jensen (Mark Kindy) Sheila Hicks and Missie Jacobs, children; Tony Stumbo and Andy Stumbo, grandchildren; Anya, William, and Freya; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and of course her puppy; Sandy will be missing her forever.
There will be a private prayer service in the park for Becky’s family followed by a public gathering to remember, honor and celebrate Becky Coste’s life.
The public gathering and celebration will begin around 4 pm at Rick’s Bar in Fargo on Thursday July 8th, 2021. We invite you to join us and share your stories, photos, and fond memories of our beloved Becky.
