Bill Peschel

January 15, 1949 ~ October 12, 2025

William “Bill” Blane Peschel, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Born on January 15, 1949, Bill lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and unwavering support for his community.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Korea. Following his military service, he dedicated most of his career to helping fellow veterans as the Richland County, ND Veteran Service Officer until his retirement — a role he held with deep compassion and commitment to those who served.

Above all, Bill was a devoted grandfather. The “Grandpa Bill” era was one of the proudest periods of his life. He found immense joy in cheering on his grandchildren in life achievements and miscellaneous sporting events, having spent countless hours at ball games and gymnasiums. His presence in the stands was a constant source of encouragement and pride.

He is survived by his three sons: Jameson Peschel, Jeremy (Heather) Peschel, and Mike (Brittany) Peschel; his brother Jim (Nancy) Peschel; his sisters Ruth (Carroll) Quam and Gayle “Hassie” Ewoniuk; and his beloved grandchildren —Allison Keel, Cayson Pinsonneault, Dilynne Peschel, Blayke Peschel, Jett Peschel and Cal Peschel.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vera Peschel, his brother Jay Peschel and his brother-in-law Arnie Ewoniuk.

Bill’s legacy of service, love, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, and they will forever cherish the memories of his steadfast support and warm presence.

A celebration of life will take place at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND, Visitation at 9:00am and Celebration of Life at 10:00am on Monday, October 27, 2025. All who knew and loved Bill are invited.
