Bonnie Mae Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on April 30th, 1952, in Trumann, Arkansas, to Jewel and Britton Bettis.
Bonnie leaves two daughters, Michelle Mahrer and Tisha Schauer(Brian); sister, Rhonda Brown; two grandchildren, Dylan Mahrer (Krissi) and Emily Vollan (Zach), to grieve.
Bonnie completed her GED and went on to obtain a diploma in licensed practical nursing in 1990. She served as a devoted nurse for 14 years. Her hobbies included reading, jigsaw puzzles, and participating in bingo. She loved to travel and see new places. She loved the music of the ‘60s, especially the Motown genre. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
