Funeral Mass:
It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my dear husband and best friend, Bradley Roy Meyer. He left this world on January 7, 2026. Brad’s journey began in Fargo, North Dakota on January 9, 1968. He was born to Dale and Karen (Scheffler) Meyer. His heart and spirit were larger than life.
Brad graduated from Coronado high school in Colorado Springs, Co in 1986. He began his career in the car business alongside his dad and quickly became know as one of the best “car guys” in the industry. His dedication and passion for the business was touched only by kindness, knowledge, and love he showed everyone.
In 2003, he met his wife Renee at a Def Leppard Concert in Fargo, ND at the Red River Valley Fair. Always the protector even then, shielding her from the rain. They married on September 29, 2007 and fell in love more each day.
As a loving husband, father of 3, son and brother, Brad was a man filled with joy and laughter. His goofy sense of humor brought smiles to our faces and sometimes tears of laughter. He had an unique ability to brighten the darkest days. He was a good cook, when he wanted to be, and an avid sports fan. He was involved with fantasy sports and betting and sometimes did pretty well. He so loved to play golf in his younger years until his back thought better of it. He loved sharing his knowledge about the world, always ready to engage in discussions about sports or recent events.
Brad’s strength was remarkable. His faith and private relationship with God guided him through life’s challenges. Despite facing adversity, including a battle with liver disease, his spirit remained resilient. He was grateful for everyday he was given. He took the time, even in the face of his struggles, offering support through a Facebook group dedicated to liver disease. It provided him with purpose and joy, showing his selflessness.
As a cherished father of 2 boys and one girl, he gave them invaluable life lessons. He supported their growth through love and wisdom. He was heard talking to them numerous times, supporting them, and giving them courage to overcome obstacles. His favorite saying to them was “See you at the top.”
He had a special bond with his mother and her friends. He spent many days at her home and was able to connect with her friends. He treated them with kindness and value. He was always talking about them and it too gave him purpose! Not only did he give advice to his children but often to his brothers, He loved to support them and often talked about his childhood with them.
As we say goodbye to Brad, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all of us and all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. Let his spirit remain in our hearts, He was MY heart an My Home.
Brad is survived by his wife, Renee of Moorhead; his children, Josh of Moorhead, Brandon of Fargo, and Shelby Northrop of Meridian, ID; mother, Karen (Scheffler) Meyer of Fargo; brothers, Jeffrey (Stephanie) of Quinton, VA, Robert (Kim) of Bountiful, UT; and 6 grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls.
Brad was preceded in death by father, Dale; grandparents, Roy and Catherine Scheffler and Emo and Bernice Meyer.
