Charlotte Barbara Carlson, age 88, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on February 3, 2026, at Elim Care and Rehab Center in Fargo. Born on February 14, 1937, in Fargo, Charlotte was the daughter of Clarence and Martha (Wentzloff) Krueger. At the age of one, her family relocated to Florida, returning to Lisbon when she was seven years old. She graduated from Lisbon High School and subsequently attended teacher’s school, where she embarked on a remarkable journey that would shape her life.

In 1957, Charlotte wed her devoted husband, Dale Carlson. Together, they built a loving home in Fargo, where Charlotte began her career at Red Owl Grocery Store before dedicating 37 years to Bergseth Brothers, from which she eventually retired. In addition to her work in retail, she founded her own Electrolysis company, which she successfully operated from her home for 20 years.

Charlotte was a woman of many passions. She found joy in gardening, cultivating beautiful flowers, and engaging in crafts and quilting. Her dedication to her church was evident through her active participation in various congregational activities. She cherished the time spent playing games and sharing coffee with her friends from the apartment community. She also loved going for errands, lunch, and gambling a little with her daughters. Of all of the things she enjoyed the most, spending time with her family was at the forefront.

Charlotte is survived by her three children: Debbie (Randy) Stevens, Theresa Brunette, and Keith (Tina) Carlson; her grandchildren, Justin (Brittnee) Stevens, Amber (Eric) Jones, Zachary (Charlie) Brunette, and Hannah (Jordon) Honeyman; her great-grandchildren, Landon, Riley, and Madelyn; as well as her sister, Shirley Favorit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, who passed in 1991, her brother Sidney, and her son-in-law, Bryan Brunette.
