Christine Mohr

May 14, 1951 ~ November 23, 2025

Born in: Germantown, Pennsylvania
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Christine Mohr passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her residence in Fargo, ND.

Christine Maire Watson was born on May 14, 1951, in Germantown, Pennsylvania, to Bill and Leona Watson. Growing up in a lively home as one of eight children, five sisters and two brothers, she was surrounded by love, noise, laughter, and the kind of closeness that shaped who she became.

After high school, Christine met James Mohr, the love of her life. They married on November 21, 1970, and the life they built together was something truly special. Their first child arrived in 1971, followed by three more in 1974, 1976, and 1978. Being a mom was Christine’s greatest joy. She poured her heart into raising her kids, embracing every moment—the long days, the fun, the challenges, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with a big family.

Christine stayed home with her children for years, something she always cherished. When the time was right, she began working outside the home, first at Kmart and later in the claims department at Blue Cross Blue Shield. No matter where she worked, she brought kindness, warmth, and a steady presence that people appreciated.

In 2014, Christine and James retired and moved to Florida, where they enjoyed sunshine, slower days, and each other’s company. They made many happy memories together, relaxing, playing trivia, doing water aerobics, and simply enjoying life side by side. Eventually, they felt the pull of home and moved back to North Dakota to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Family was everything to Christine. Nothing made her happier than time spent together talking, laughing, sharing stories, or just being in the same room. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment she had with them. Becoming a great grandma for the first time filled her with so much excitement.

Christine also loved the simple, beautiful things in life. She really did take time to “smell the roses,” and roses were her favorite. She loved flowers, nature, being outdoors, and she even enjoyed going hunting. In her quiet moments, she spent her time sewing, and she had a special fondness for hummingbirds, which always made her smile.

Christine is survived by her husband, James Mohr; children, Terri Mohr of Fargo, James (Lara) Mohr Jr. Glyndon, MN, Bryan (Melissa) Mohr of Fargo, and Brad (Melanie) Mohr of Fargo; grandchildren, Colter (Stephanie) Pratt, Brody (Abbey Kelley) Mohr, Spenser Mohr, Avery Mohr, Haley Thuen, Mason Mohr, Sam Thuen, and Ryer Thuen; great grandchild, Olivia Pratt; brother, John (Lisa) Watson; sisters, Marylee (Allen) Nosleny, Arlene Whitaker, Susan Watson, and Gail (Mike) Saltzman; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Mohr, Lynette (Bob) Sinner, and Barbara Watson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Christine is preceded by her parents, Bill and Leona “Lee” Watson; brother, Bill Watson Jr.; sister, Lorraine Watson; mother and father-in-law, Darril and Muriel Mohr; and brother-in-law, Tim Mohr.
