  3. Sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Elliott Family during this difficult time.

  4. So sorry for your loss. Back in our younger days Don was always full of fun and wry humor. Good memories from our old Diemert family reunions.

  5. Dear Terry & kids,
May God bless you and see you through this huge loss.
What a special man! He was tough as nails, always fun, and all heart!
I’m grateful for learning so many of life’s lessons at his side.
His friendship was real and true. I will always cherish it.
    Don Haakenson

  6. So sorry for your loss. We sure enjoyed his phone calls out here in California. He used to call and leave messages on the answering machine that were quite colorful… The kids got such a kick out of him. George and he were on the phone at least 3 times a week. He had a great sense of humor… He will be missed!! Hugs to all of you!

  7. Although it seems like yesterday, it”s been 40 years since we played Pinochle in “The Grad Room” at NDSU every noon hour. Each week we had our Friday Afternoon Social Club, it was 4:10 at the 410, one of our favorite watering holes. Don was just a fun guy who was always willing to help. I’ve thought of him periodically over those 40 years, always remembering the good times we had. My deepest sympathy Terry and kids, you had the best.

  8. Terry .. so very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. May God give you strength to face the days ahead. God bless you and your family. Our prayers are with you.

  9. Don, you will be missed. Your sense of humor always kept us in stitches: your laugh was hearty and always filled the room.

  10. Still remember at the wedding when someone took the tires off your car. You ask Craig and I to help put them back on. We were almost killed when his brothers came out and thought we were taking them off! If you hadn’t come out when you did it would have been all over for us! Nice to see the RGIS uniform. Going to really miss him.

  11. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Elliott Family.
Many good memories of the love and close family ties
    in this family.
We send our sympathies and prayers of comfort to you.🙏💕

  12. Our deepest sympathy to your family. May God give you the strength to face the days ahead and see you through this huge loss. Our heart goes out to you.

  13. Beautiful Service – so glad it could be shared online. Hugs to all of Don’s family.

  14. Dear Terry, I was remembering Mary and her folks today and happened to read Bill’s obituary and learned of Don’s passing. I was so sad to read that he has passed away so young. My heart goes out to you and the kids. I remember many times with Mary and Keith and the North Dakota family coming to visit and fun times we had together at her weddings and parties. I remember the awfulness of the accident when Don lost his arm and the struggles he (and you) went through as he relearned farming and daily living. I am sad to know he had to struggle with cancer too. You are in my thoughts as is the entire Elliott family. Sincerely, Mary Jane, Anderson Bell
