Douglas “Doug” Tolle of Fargo, ND passed away on March 25, 2026 at the age of 62. Doug was born on October 25, 1963 to Stanley D. Tolle and Iona Mary Watt Tolle in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.

Doug was the youngest of six kids, growing up attending schools in Gering, NE; Milford, IA; and Lake Nebagamon, WI, where he graduated in 1981.

Doug attended Bemidji State University, graduating in 1996. He went on to utilize his education, working in the human services field over the years.

In May of 2008, he married Lori Arbach Tolle, and joined their families together with Doug’s daughters, Samantha and Molly, and Lori’s son Devin.

Doug and Lori made their home in Fargo for the next 18 years. Doug enjoyed being outside over the years, camping with Lori, and fishing as much as he could. Doug was an avid NDSU Bison football fan. Doug was always such a kid at heart, making people laugh whenever he could.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Lori, his daughters, Samantha “Sami” (Coy) Talsma; Molly Tolle; stepson Devin (Mary) Engelmann; and his granddaughter Marley Talsma.

Doug is also survived by brothers and sisters Stanley (Corinne) Tolle, Donald (Pat) Tolle, Kathleen (Gary) Rogers, Gregory (Diane) Tolle, and Karen (Kevin) Hankins, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews and many dear relatives.

Doug was proceeded in death by his parents, Stanley and Iona Tolle and his parents in law Howard and Ardelle Arbach.

Doug’s wishes were to be fondly remembered with a family celebration of life, which will be held at a later date.

The family would ask that in lieu of memorials, please donate to your favorite charity in his honor.
