With fond memories of my Aunt Liz. I will always remember her lovely smile and her quiet laugh. Her eyes twinkled behind that laugh. Loved seeing her whenever we were in Jamestown having rowdy fun with our cousins Mary, Susan, Pete, and Chris. May all memories of her give the family and friends some comfort during this difficult time. Peace and much love across the miles as I light a candle in memory of Aunt Liz.

  7. My sincere sympathy to the Slen family. I had the privilege of joining the Slen/Sherve families on a trip to Iceland a few years ago. Rolf’s sister, Avy, was a neighbor & friend of mine when I lived in Northfield. As an outsider, I immediately felt like one of the “clan”. Liz and I had a few stories to share with each other having spent our careers in healthcare. Was so enjoyable to get to know all of the family members on that trip. I am now good friends with the couple that bought the home that Liz grew up in Binford, ND – via my Arizona connections. I hope to maybe attend Liz’s funeral in May.

  8. Dear family of Liz & Rolf,
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Liz from the time we spent together at church and at snowbird luncheons in Destin. Liz was a delight to know and it was a sad time when COVID and age caused our winter meetings to be discontinued. I pray that God grant you all comfort and peace. I will always remember Liz with great fondness. Sending a hug to Rolf.

  9. I just learned that Liz Slen passed away. I worked with Liz when she was a family counselor at Fountain Lake Treatment Center in Albert Lea. Our offices were right next to each other and we had many great talks. Just a fabulous person and a great family counselor.
