Frankie S Hansen

May 10, 1957 ~ May 30, 2024
Frankie S. Hansen passed away at her home on Thursday May 30th 2024 in Fargo, ND.
Frankie was born on May 10th 1957 to Russell and Nellie (Watson) Hansen in Modesto, California. Frankie attended school in California where she graduated at Modesto Union Academy in 1976. Shortly after graduation she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and spent a few years out there til she moved to Fargo, ND in 1988. After losing her brother Charles Hansen in 1990, she made the ultimate decision to stay in Fargo, ND to be near her family and make Fargo her forever home.
Frankie worked in customer service for over 30 years at Holiday Gas Station and throughout her years working for Holiday she made many special friends. Frankie retired from Holiday 2 years ago. Shortly after retiring Frankie couldn’t stay away from working and every Tuesday and Thursday she worked for NBS Garage and not only was that her job, her boss and coworkers became her family.
During her life Frankie fell in love with many things such as; listening to many styles of music, concerts, making afghan blankets for her family and friends any chance she could get. She enjoyed planning and going on many trips and had a love for fishing. She would love to take random trips to Walmart and Sam’s club with her family and friends just to get out of the house and be around her loved ones and friends. Frankie had an amazing green thumb and loved to garden any chance she could get, her yard looked like a magical garden. Baking was a fun activity she loved to do and she would bake for all of her neighbors and she loved baking for all her family and friends and the special puppy dogs in her life! Mostly Frankie just loved the company of her family and friends any chance she could get!
Frankie had a heart of gold and her beautiful soul will be missed by many loved ones and friends.

Frankie was my best friend for many years. We worked together at Holiday Station Store, walked 4 miles every day and played racquet ball at the YMCA. She loved animals and country music. Her smile was the best, great sense of humor and so kind. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are missed already.
Love Always,
Theresa Krile

Frankie was my next-door neighbor and dear friend on second avenue south, in fact I am the one that found the house for her. I had known her for about 30 years from her time at Holiday
Station and many walks past my place to visit her relatives, Dick and Norma, that lived just down the block. A few days before Frankie died, she paid the person she hired to mow her lawn to also mow the lawn of Dick and Normas former home. She had such a big heart. I imagine her on a front porch in heaven with Dick and Norma getting plenty of “welcome to your new home” hugs.
I knew Frankie from my brief time working with her at the Holiday convenience store. We spent quite a bit of time together. She told me of her life adventures and spoke fondly of her time in Utah with a special family-especially her “adopted mother” who taught her how to knit.
My favorite memory of Frankie was the day she joined our friend, Chris Paulson, and me to go tubing down the Ottertail River. Although she didn’t know how to swim she was brave enough to challenge the river. At one point the current caught her tube and her calls of distress could be heard up and down the river. None the less, we finished our adventure and had a lovely memory.
Good bye Frankie. You were a bright spot in this small world and will carry on in our memories.
