Franklin "Frank" H. Stange

Franklin “Frank” Harry Stange, 68, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, surrounded by family.

Frank was born on January 5, 1957, in Rocky Ford, CO, to Gerald and Nadine (Baran) Stange. He grew up in Denver, CO with his four brothers. In 1973, his dad’s career relocated the family to Moorhead, MN. He spent his childhood in Cub/Boy Scouts, learning to play the accordion, and working to pay for Catholic school tuition doing mostly lawn care and newspaper routes until he graduated from Moorhead High School.

Over the years, Frank held several jobs, but he spent the bulk of his career doing what he loved most — working as a mechanic. He was employed at A-1 Radiator in Fargo for more than 20 years, where his skill, dedication, and easygoing nature earned him great respect. During this time, Frank also dedicated himself to what he considered his greatest achievement – raising his daughters.

Frank is survived by his five daughters: Brigette, Cassie, Katie, Carrie, and Kayla; 15 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Michael (Sally), Kenneth (Janet), and Karl; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Nadine Stange; and his brother, Jon Stange.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5-7pm at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND.

  5. My dear, dear, dear, buddy Franko, God needed a good mechanic and now he’s got one of his own! I pray you know how much I love you and how much I cherish sharing our lives means to me!!! From teenagers to senior citizens we were brothers and we always will be! I’m the most fortunate man out of the two of us cause I had such a cool friend in you!!! I can only hope to see you on the other side! I LOVE YOU BROTHER!!! That being said, to all your girls I’m so, so, sorry! Just remember your dad lived his life for his girls and the best way to honor that is to talk him up, always, and live a good life in his place! God bless Franko and his family! Your brother was cool like you Carl!!! As was Jon, and your father!

  6. I’m so sorry to hear about Frank’s passing. My sincerest condolences to his family. I met Frank when he worked at A1 Radiator. Frank was heck of a mechanic. He even came out to my house once to install a starter on my pickup. He was always so proud of his daughter’s, talked about them all the time. Cherish the wonderful memories of your Father as I do with my parents. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and God bless. RIP Frank. You will be missed.
