Gloria H. Johnson, 78, Fargo, ND passed away on October 9, 2018 in Eventide, Fargo, ND.
Gloria Johnson was born July 4, 1940 in Fargo, ND, to Walter and Marcella Zimmerman. She grew up in the area and graduated from Leonard High School, Leonard, ND.
Gene Johnson and Gloria Zimmerman were married September 6, 1958 at Bethel Moravian Church in Leonard. They lived in Fargo where Gloria worked for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance before moving back to the Kindred-Leonard area. Both Gloria and Gene worked at Woods Farmers Elevator for a number of years before moving back to Fargo. She worked in Fargo at Continental Carbonic Products, Inc. until retiring.
Gene and Gloria enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake Lizzie and spending time with family and friends. Their home was always open for a cup of coffee and a game of cards. Even though Gloria was German, she learned the Norwegian traditions of making lefsa, krumkake, and yes, even lutefisk. In Gloria’s retirement years she spent time on many craft projects that we will all treasure dearly in our hearts. Although she suffered from dementia for a number of years, she always had a smile on her face.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Johnson, son, Gregory Johnson, daughter Gail Watne, grandson, Christopher Watne and her parents, Walter and Marcella Zimmerman.
Gloria is survived by her son, Gordell (Jennifer) Johnson, Fargo; Brother, James (Fran) Zimmerman. Leonard, ND; Sisters, Betty (Harold) Butenhoff, Leonard, and Cindy (Dave) Johnson, Casselton, ND. Four grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Joby Johnson, Kayla Lavey, and Jacob Johnson; seven great gandchildren, Laken Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Kyler Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Jazmine Johnson, Jaemion Johnson; 1 great great grandchild, Caiden Johnson.
Visitation will be 11 AM-1:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018, followed by the Funeral at 1 PM at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Burial will be at West Prairie Cemetery, Kindred, ND.

My sincere condolences to you, Gordell, & all your family. Your mom was a nice lady..,always enjoyed chatting with her when we would see your parents at the clinic. Seemed Gary & your dad were doing a lot of doctoring around the same time. 🙏💕

I was a high school classmate of Gene and a friend of Gloria during our years at Leonard High School. Extending my sympathy to your family as you mourn her loss. She was a great lady.
