Uncle Gordon, came to our house in Atlanta when I was very young. Didn’t know the exact date or year, so timeline is a guess. But I remember he took time away from the adults to come outside and throw the football with me. Made me feel like he really wanted to know me and spend time with me. That feeling never changed. He always made me feel like he wanted to know what was going on with me, even though our relationship had a lot of earthly miles between us. What a great story teller. He is going to be missed. What an example the rest of us men in the family have to live up to. Make sure people (especially those close to us) know we care about them. I bet he is having a beer with Mom and the rest of his brothers and sisters and the stories are flowing. Love You, Uncle Gordon.
