Jackie Kennedy, age 51, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away under the care of Sanford Hospice House on Sunday, September 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Jacqueline Annette Doyle was born on May 7, 1974, to Tom and Judy (Anderson) Doyle in Fargo, North Dakota. She was raised in Hawley, Minnesota. She was a loving older sister to her two younger siblings, Neil and Leslie.
Jackie graduated from Hawley High School in 1992 and Northwest Technical College in 1995, where she studied data entry.
On September 21, 1996, Jackie married Scott Kennedy. They enjoyed 29 happy years of marriage together and welcomed their two sons, Sam and Jake.
Jackie was a devoted mother to her boys and beamed with pride when she spoke of them. Despite her illness, she made every effort to support them at every school event and baseball game. She enjoyed watching them both grow into fine young men and celebrated their every accomplishment. In May 2025, Jackie was so pleased to welcome her daughter-in-law, Madison, into the family as well.
For over 20 years, Jackie worked in the Surgery Scheduling department at Sanford Health, retiring in 2025 as the Surgery Scheduling Coordinator. Throughout her career, Jackie positively impacted the lives of numerous physicians and patients. She was well respected for her skills and creativity. Her impact will be felt for years to come, and she will be forever missed by her colleagues.
Jackie was a creative person, talented at crafts and home projects. She loved to go to a “junk hunt” and find treasures. She loved to read and watch movies. She loved traveling with her family- especially to the beach. She always had her nails done perfectly and was creative in her designs. Jackie loved to celebrate holidays and Christmas was her favorite. Jackie will be remembered for her thoughtful gift giving and how special she made everyone around her feel.
Jackie will be missed most for her sense of humor, her smile and laughter, and for her kindness to everyone. She was a cherished friend to so many.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Scott Kennedy of Fargo; her two children – Sam (Madison) Kennedy and Jake Kennedy, both of Fargo, ND; her parents Tom and Judy Doyle of Hawley, MN; her siblings – Neil (Phim) Doyle of Hastings, MN; and Leslie (Jeff) Annis of Farmington, MN. Also surviving is her grandmother, Audrey Doyle; her nieces and nephew – Kayla, Chase, Gabriela, Nathalia, and Annabella; and her father-in-law, Marvin Kennedy.

Jackie. May you rest in peace. Know that you are leaving behind a great loving family. You have left a permanent void at work. We miss you.
Though I have not had the opportunity to talked to Jackie in some time, I knew of her strength and grace through Scott, whom I’ve had the privilege of working with very closely the past years. Her long and courageous battle is a testament to her resilience and spirit. My heart goes out to Scott, Sam, and Jake—may you find comfort in the love she gave and the memories you carry forward.
With deepest sympathy,
Brandon Hoover
Scott, Sam and Jake: I am so sorry to hear about Jackie. We worked together in Urology for a few years. She was the most amazing coworker. She was also a great friend.
Sending sincere condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. Jackie was so special to us. What an honor it has been to support her throughout her illness.
I am so sorry to hear of Jackie’s passing. I worked at Sanford with her. She was a lovely person, great to chat with. May you find comfort that she is watching over you.
Sending my deepest sympathies to Jackie’s family. I had the pleasure of knowing her through mutual friends and family and also worked with her years ago in Fargo. She was such a nice kind person that will be missed by many.
I remember Scott sharing how Jackie never wanted to miss a single moment in her boys’ lives, no matter the circumstances. She was a remarkable woman, strong, kind, and with a heart of pure gold.
Scott, Sam, and Jake—please know that her love will always surround you, even in the moments when you can’t see it. She’s with you, always. Herrera Family
Scott,
Condolences and prayers going out to you and your family! I cherish the memory of the few times
we visited with Jackie over the years, she truly was a gem! She will missed by many!
Jackie will forever be in our hearts through our special memories we have made while she was with us. Our lives will never be the same without her. We will take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain, and we will know her in heaven one day. We will miss her more than we can possibly know at this point, we will be starting each day with a prayer to just get through each day.
We know God has been at her side through it all, helping her get through each day, during her cancer treatment.
We thank God for helping not just Jackie, but all of us get through this difficult time.
Mom and Dad.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I know you have been such a source of strength for her during her battle with cancer. I also know, as a mom, how proud you have made her and given her life so much joy! There is no joy in life like the God given gift of a child to a mom. You have my prayers, and constant thoughts as you go through this difficult time. I do believe that there will be signs and a special connection with her going forward. I just want you to know how special you are to her and to everyone! May God bless you and be with you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.

I am so sorry to hear of Jackie’s passing. I know how much you cherished her. You were an amazing sister. Keeping you and all of the Doyle and Kennedy families in my heart and prayers.
Your coworkers are here to support you during this difficult time.
God Bless
After writing, I realized there would be some people who would not be able to attend the funeral for various reasons. Our son will be reading something I wrote, and many people I addressed would not hear it. I wanted to thank everyone at Sanford who helped her get through the last 12 years and the nurses and caregivers at Sanford Hospice, and we believe they gave her the best care possible during her time there.
We would also like to thank everyone she called friend
All of us have our own special memories of Jackie, and they are her last gift to us!
Tom and I feel that when Jackie married Scott, we didn’t loose a daughter we gained a son. He has never left her side . We will never forget that. We wanted everyone to know what a good person he is. Thank you Scott!
John 3:16

You fought so hard..
I love your quirky sense of humor & count myself lucky to have crossed your path working in the trenches of Surgery Scheduling with you. It’s bittersweet that you’re pain-free now. 🫂 My thoughts are with Scott, the boys & all her family. 😢
Fly high Jackie!!
