Jake Davis passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2021 in Fargo. Jake Edmund Davis was born on August 3, 1991, the son of Ed and Kelly, in Grand Forks, ND where he was baptized at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He finished his schooling, graduating in 2009. He spent most of his time in Fargo where he enjoyed working with his best friend, Jesse Beyers. Becoming a daddy to Chance is the most cherished part of his life – he loved being daddy and was blessed with all the time he had with him. Jake’s love for family and friends filled the hearts of many. His smile, laughter and smirks were infectious and brightened every room he entered. From laughter to tears he will be remembered by all as the fun loving devoted, caring guy he was. Jake’s favorite things were playing hockey, skateboarding, spending time at the lake, late night bonfires and all the knowledge shared, hanging with his buddies or his family. Jake is survived by his parents, Ed Davis of Wyndemere, ND; and Kelly (Mike) Hoffman of Fargo; his son, Chance Davis - and his mother, Samantha Matheson; his grandparents – Gerald and Bernice Davis and Emma Jean Lecy. Also surviving are his siblings – Cassie Hoffman and Michael (Megan) Hoffman and many other very special relatives including – Amanda, Ashley, and Zach Hoffman and their families; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Rory Lecy Davis; his grandfather, Arthur Lecy; his aunt, Mary Davis; and best friends – Josh Nelson and Jesse Simon

  11. This picture was taken at our house while I was helping the guys get ready for Jesse’s wedding. This was such a wonderful crazy day with these guys. I have so many memories of Jake through the years. When Jesse passed he was at the house telling me stories and helping me through the grief. My thoughts, prayers and Love to Kelly, Ed ,Sam and Chance. To all his friends and family that will miss his wonderful hugs!

    While we were cousins, I considered you a brother growing up. So many great memories together. You were taken too early from us but you’ll always be in the Davis family’s heart.

    I am so sorry to see you list your sweet boy, Jake. I cared for Jake at Rainbow Center so many years ago. I will never forget the time I was at your house. Jake wanted me to sleep over. He tired so hard to convince you and I why I needed to. I finally told him, I could not because I did not have my pillow and blanket. He told me his daddy would share his with me. Your Jake, was the sweetest little boy. I hope your memories will help carry you through your grief. May your sweet grandson allow you to always remember the wonderful things your son did in life.
