Jatara Kanay Parks passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021, at the age of 28, in Sanford Hospital after a long battle with liver disease.
Jatara was born in Fargo, North Dakota on April 30, 1992 to Jeff and LaChaunda Parks. She was their first born and a true blessing. Jatara was a sweet, loving, young lady with a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved music and dancing, helping people, loved kids, hip hop, was dedicated to friends and family and wanted to be a CNA. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
She is survived by her father Jeffery Sr. and her mother LaChaunda, her brother Jeffery Jr. and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House @ www.rmhcfargo.org. The memorial service will also be recorded and live streamed for those who cannot attend.
Lachaunda and Jeff, You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. My heart goes out to you.

LaChaunda, Jeff and Jeffrey!!! I am at a loss of words to give you. I can’t imagine the pain you are going through! My heart breaks for you all and I send all my love to you guys! I pray that God eases some of the pain you are dealing with. Jatara was so young when she started dealing with health issues and you guys stood by her side. You’re hearts where broken when she barely made it through years ago. I saw your tears n lack of sleep back than and I can’t imagine the tears now! Jatara was loved by many and her cousins were so little at the time but have so much love for her and they wish they could have gotten to know her better. But from there words they are happy that she is with there dad and Meme! They also have gained another angel just like you! ❤❤❤

I did not know her personally but I saw her a couple of times with Nevel. She was always in good spirits. She always came to watch our soccer games. May her soul rest in perfect peace and I wish the family God’s blessings as they mourn.
