Guestbook

  1. Our sincere sympathy to Joanne’s family and friends. Yes, she worked for Fred Wimmer, Art and Andy Wimmer and Randy and Brad. We adored her and appreciated her. Her bookkeeping skills, her cheerful nature and friendship were top notch. Just a few weeks ago she sent me an envelope of clippings dated back to the 1950s and ’60s.
God bless the happy times, the memories and all the stories we’ve shared. We treasure the friendship of Joanne’s children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. With heartfelt sympathy and love – The Wimmer Families

  2. I knew Joanne through Riverview. She was so nice to everyone and always had a smile to share. Joanne made this world a good place! Rest in peace sweet Joanne!

  3. I work at Riverview in the dining room. I so enjoyed seeing Joanne for the evening meal. She was so kind and grateful. She will be missed by all of us. May she rest in eternal peace.

  4. Deepest condolences, we have many fond memories of Joanne and Wayne from her time in Nome. Always loved visiting with her at the Roadside and loved her sweet smile and kind heart. May she RIP

  6. OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY OF PAM, WAYNE, TRACI, AND MELISSA RUD, AND OF THE REST OF JOANNA’S CHILDREN. PAM AND I WORKED TOGETHER FOR MANY YEARS. GREAT MEMORIES OF GREAT PEOPLE AND THE VALUES THEY IMPARTED TO THEIR CHILDREN ARE A GREAT GIFT TO ALL ! MAY THE MULTITUDE OF MEMORIES SURROUND YOU ALL IN THE WARMTH OF THOUGHTS OF PLEASANT TIMES IN YOUR LIVES AND FAMILY LIVES ! MY HOPE WOULD BE FOR SMILES, PEACE, AND CALMNESS TO SURROUND YOU WITH QUIET FEELINGS OF LOVE AND KINDNESSES AMONG YOU ALL ! GOD GIVE YOU THE STRENGTH TO TURN SADNESS AND MEMORIES INTO PEACE AND FOOD FOR YOUR SOULS ! VERY WARM REGARDS FROM THE DUNNELL’S…..CHARLES, NATHAN, JOSHUA, AND THE LATE WIFE OF CHARLES OF 54 + YEARS, “BONITA” !

  7. Joanne volunteered at The Village Family Service Center and I got to hang out with her every couple of months. She always had great stories about working at Wimmer’s. She and the other volunteers would talk about their children and grandchildren. I grew to admire all of them. Joanne was a delight to be around and I really looked forward to her volunteer visits. I feel lucky to have known her. My thoughts are with her family, know she loved you very much.

  8. With sympathy for the loss of your mother. Although we did not know her personally, we did work with her family to purchase the farmstead and surrounding quarter many years ago for our son to move into. I do remember driving by many times to see her outside working in the yard and keeping everything tip top. I could tell she enjoyed her place and we also found out later after the purchase the connection between the Groth and Arne family whom we also purchased our first home and land from. From what I was told is they helped each other remodel their homes, of which we noticed the similarities.
