The funeral for Joy Johnson, 94, Fargo, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Boulger Funeral Home. She died March 30, 2025 following four months of illness.
Joy was born on October 9, 1930 to Clark and Eva Johnson on their farmstead near Ayr, N.D. She attended school in Page until her parents moved the family to Fargo. She graduated in 1948 from Fargo Central High School.
Joy was a caring person who above all adored her family. She was an outgoing, friendly person who enjoyed meeting people. As an avid fan of Twins baseball and Timberwolves basketball, she spent countless hours cheering on her teams.
Joy is survived by her brother, Gary Johnson, Fargo; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her longtime companion, Dick Forsberg; her brothers, Keith Johnson, Marv Johnson, and Chug Johnson; and her sisters-in-laws.
Interment will be at a later date at the Page Cemetery.
