Kathy Anne Dewall

Kathy Anne Dewall, 78, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Fargo, North Dakota, just days after celebrating her birthday. She was born on March 5, 1948, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, a place she always held close to her heart.

Kathy lived a life defined by quiet strength, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She had a warm spirit that made others feel welcome and valued, and her gentle presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Whether through shared laughter, thoughtful conversations, or small acts of care, Kathy had a way of making people feel at ease.

She is survived by her ex-husband, David Dewall; her sister-in-law, Karen Friese, Alberta (Frank) Saunsoci, Michele Blackbird-Wojcik, Michael and Donald Blackbird JR(Cathy), Sandy Walks, Laverne Stansted, her nieces, Tracy Friese-Smith and LeAnna Lambert; and many great-nieces and nephews and friends and Family who will continue to carry her memory forward. Kathy cherished her family deeply and found great joy in staying connected with them over the years.

Kathy will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her resilience, and the love she gave so freely. Though she may be gone from this world, the memories she created and the lives she touched will remain forever.

A private remembrance will be held by her family. In her memory, those who knew her are encouraged to honor her life by showing kindness to others, just as she always did.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
