Kevin D. Brokke

Kevin Dean Brokke, 73, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Essentia Health. Born on December 24, 1951, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Kevin was the beloved son of Harry and Alta (Thompson) Brokke.

Kevin was one of a kind. He lived with Asperger’s disease, which meant he saw the world a little differently than most, but that just made him more special. He had a huge love for children and always enjoyed playing games—unless, of course, he was losing, in which case, you might hear some playful grumbling!

Ten years ago, Kevin faced a significant health challenge after having a stroke that left him immobilized on his right side. But true to his spirit, he refused to back down, determined to walk again with the help of Tami’s Angels. He managed to walk daily, showing incredible determination. Sadly, in recent times, his strength began to wane, leading to further health complications.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Keith (Lynne) Brokke; nieces, Nicholle Brokke and Sara (Ben) Hosch; grandnieces Adelaide, Winnie & Etta Hosch and grandnephews, Emery & Charlie Hosch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Alta Brokke and sister, Ginnette.

A celebration of Kevin’s life is planned for August 8th at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Kevin was an adamant follower of the Minnesota Twins, so we request you wear Twins attire to the Celebration OR wear attire of your favorite sports team.
