Born in:
Forest Lake, Minnesota
Resided in:
Glyndon, Minnesota
Lee Michael Hauble, age 69, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on September 8th, 2025. He left this world doing what he loved- working on a project, with his tools in hand and his heart in his work.
Lee was born on June 18, 1956 in Scandia, MN to Jocelyn and Raymond Hauble. His childhood days were spent working hard on a farm alongside his siblings and parents. They had crops, turkeys, and dairy cows. From sun up to sun down, he was out doing farm chores. When he graduated, he kicked off adulthood by hitch hiking across the country and having many adventures along the way. He spent his early career as a home builder as the owner of Hauble Home Builders. Then he moved to commercial construction as a Carpenter Foreman with Northside Construction. He later moved into building schools, hospitals, and other large projects as a Superintendent for Kraus Anderson, which is where he met Kathryn Bible on a job site in 1990. They were married in 1993 in Bemidji, MN and had a reception at their lake home with family and friends. Good times were had and they almost sank their pontoon with so many people on board. They had two daughters, Kate and Ashlee, who were the pride and joy of his life. Lee and Kathryn built a lake home in Brainerd where they spent many happy years full of time on the water. They prioritized taking trips as a family and always did a winter and a summer vacation whether it was a road trip out west or a trip to Mexico. He happily retired in 2015 and the second part of his life began. He loved wintering in Port Aransas, Texas and spent many hours fishing in the ocean. He dove into a variety of passions including camping, biking, fishing, wine and beer making, gardening, canning, traveling, and serving others. He would drop anything to help someone with a project and had a passion for using his gifts and construction knowledge to help others. He was a man of deep faith and was known to pray with a stranger at the county fair grounds while he volunteered to store peoples boats for the winter. His legacy is his family, and the love he had for his grandchildren was unmatched. Nothing brought him more joy than to bring them to the playground, or lay down with them and show them old photos from years gone by. If his grandson, Finn, had a question about anything, he would say “I’ll just ask Grampy”. Lee was known for his “useless knowledge” that usually turned out to be pretty useful.
Lee is survived by his wife Kathryn (married 32 years), daughters Kate (Jace Beehler) and Ashlee (Alex Lindblad), grandchildren Finn (4), Shepherd (2), twins Rosalie and Heidi (2 weeks), brothers Wendell and Stan, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jocelyn Hauble, and his sister Martha Larue.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 18th at 11am at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Fishing Has No Boundaries in Lee’s honor.

Lee was one of my favorites… so kind and sweet. Our class reunions won’t be the same without Lee. May he rest in peace til we meet again. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
Years have gone by since we graduated from high school. Seems like it was only yesterday. Until we meet again, rest in sweet slumber. Jeff Anderson
Dennis and I are both shocked and saddened to hear of Lee’ s passing. We will miss him as a “ neighbor” both here and in Port A. We had some fun times together camping, fishing and of course thought there would be time for more of them. Our hearts go out to you. We will not be able to attend his memorial service as we have a prior commitment that we don’t feel we can cancel but know our thoughts and prayers will be with you. With Love, Cynthia and Dennis Skjod
