Lisa passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, at the age of 37.
Lisa Marie was born on September 9, 1986, the daughter of Martina Greywind and Frank Tomahawk, in Devils Lake, ND. Lisa began her life growing up in Tokyo, ND before moving to Fargo. At the age of 10, Lisa was placed in foster care and joined the Sheeley family in Wahpeton, ND and was later adopted by Chuck and Betty. Lisa had a good childhood growing up with her other Sheeley siblings. She attended school in Wahpeton, she made many friends and did very well in her classes. Lisa enjoyed playing basketball – she was a wonderful athlete. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful heart that will never be forgotten.
Lisa left home at an earlier age and spent most of her time in the Fargo area. She worked as an attendant at a hotel in Fargo.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Chuck and Betty Sheeley of Barnesville, MN; her siblings – Jessica McKay of Fargo, Keith Tomahawk of Fargo; Samantha Locke of Standing Rock, ND; and Brandon Greywind Selzler of Coon Rapids, MN; her adoptive siblings – Charlie Sheeley, Tyler Sheeley, Katie Martin, Tricia Veldkamp, and Eric Johnson; her mother, Martina Greywind; her special friend, Samantha Rebold; and many other very dear relatives. Lisa was preceded in death by her sister, Terri Greywind.
Family was very important to Lisa. Even though she and her siblings were raised in separate families, the sibling bond was very important to her.
Her life will be remembered and celebrated at 2 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo – there will be a visitation one hour
prior. Burial will take place at Springvale Cemetery in Fargo so she can be laid to rest close to her sister, Terri.
Thoughts and prayers for everyone!

Rest in Roses Girl you’ll Be Missed
I remember Lisa when she played on a basketball team I coached. Her smile was the most beautiful smile that you never could forget.
Sending prayers to the family.
Chuck and Betty and family, so sorry to hear. You gave her love and compassion all those years that you raised her. So sad that she decided to get in with the wrong crowd and partake in substances that were out of her control.
Sincerely,
Vickie A
