Lowell Vernon Holm

Lowell Vernon Holm, 92, of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at Eventide in Moorhead, MN under the care of Ethos Hospice. Lowell was born January 12, 1933, in Halstad, MN to Clarence and Ida (Aalgaard) Holm. He graduated from Halstad High School in 1951. On March 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Marilyn Kozojed in Halstad, MN. The couple made their home in Fargo where they raised their two children until building a home in Brooktree Park, Harwood, ND where they lived for 39 years until moving back to Fargo in 2003.

Lowell worked at Bridgeman Creamery in Fargo for many years before becoming a finish carpenter until his retirement. Lowell loved hunting, square dancing and calling square dances, car racing and being an active member of the Fargo Eagles Aerie 153 where he was a proud member of the Ritual Team that won national titles. He also participated in the Fargo Eagles parade team of go carts for the enjoyment of spectators along the route. Lowell loved his time at their lake home on Lake Eunice especially being there to watch the ice go off each spring. Whenever it was time for friends and family to leave, Lowell’s parting words were always, “drive safe” with a smile and a wave.

Lowell is survived by daughter, Candace (Robert Jr.) Carson of Fargo; son, Bradley (Vicki) Holm of Fargo; granddaughters, Lindsay (Brandon) Topp of Eden Prairie, MN and Kaitlyn (Jace) Foss of Fargo; step-grandson, Jeremy (Monica) Carson of Marlborough, MA; his great-grandchildren, Ryker and Bergen Topp, and Margot and Georgette Foss; sister in-law, Rose (Robert) Knudtson of Moorhead; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Carol; his parents; brother Harold Holm; sister Muriel Melland; and several in-laws.

There will be a memorial service at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior.
