Lyle Dean Geiselhart, of Moorhead, MN, left us on June 19, 2025, leaving a wealth of memories and stories behind. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, and friend.
L.”Dean” Geiselhart was born to Lyle and JoAnne Geiselhart (Haroldson) on October 4, 1958, in Grand Forks, ND.
He went on to attend Fisher K-12 School in Fisher, MN.
As an adult he went on to marry Peggie Weyer and he lived many places including- Fisher, MN, Brainerd, MN, Duluth, MN, Fargo ND, and Moorhead, MN.
Following high school graduation, he attended Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND and he earned his business associates degree.
He had a very diverse career including farming, bus driver, insurance salesman, and long-haul semi-truck driver.
He was confirmed at Fisher Lutheran Church in Fisher, MN.
His hobbies and interests included riding snowmobiles, boating, fishing, camping, traveling (including two trips to Hawaii), being with his family, enjoying good conversation over coffee, talking “shop” with his farming buddies, and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his children, Nick Geiselhart (Jamie Miller) of Fergus Falls, MN, Lynnette Latchaw (Tra Minner) of East Grand Forks, MN, Lance L. of Brainerd, MN. His grandchildren, Lily, Hailee, Lucas, Gwen, Tucker, Maggie, George, and Oliver, his mother, JoAnne Geiselhart of Gand Forks, ND, his brother, Lanny Geiselhart (Gricel) of Roseau, MN, his sister, Tami Humble (Brad) of Warroad, MN, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Lyle Geiselhart, his grandparents, Gene and Thelma Haroldson, Delores and Jack Gnadt, his aunt, Janet Johnson, and his uncle, Larry Haroldson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fisher Lutheran Church in Fisher, MN. Pastor Grechen Enoch will be presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM, and there will be a meal following the funeral service. The burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery (south location) in Grand Forks, ND.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage everyone to make donations in support of organizations that help those in need of blood, tissue, and organ donations. They’d also like to thank Life Source for their wonderful staff that cared for his body for the tissue and organ donations.
I am sorry for the family loss of Dean. My brother and I played at Dean’s childhood home when we were small.
