Marion Francis Peterson, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by the love of her family.

Marion was born on April 15, 1937, in Barnesville, MN, to Frank and Clara (Dubas) Nosal. She grew up and attended school in Barnesville, MN. She was united in marriage to Dale Joseph Peterson on September 5, 1959, and together they shared a life rooted in love, devotion, faith, and family.

Marion took great pride in her work at Ben Franklin, where she especially enjoyed being surrounded by creativity and serving others. She had a deep love for sewing, crocheting, knitting, and all forms of arts and crafts. Her hands were rarely still, and many were blessed by the beautiful items she lovingly made over the years. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her greatest joy was raising her three sons and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

A devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Marion is survived by her sons Robert (Susan Ekren) Peterson of West Fargo, ND, and Thomas (Mandy) Peterson of Ada, MN; her sister Pat (Dean) Kvidt of Dilworth, MN; brother Jim (Sherrie) Nosal of Shoreview, MN; sister-in-law Janice Nosal of Barnesville, MN; sister-in-law Rita Nosal of Barnesville, MN; brother-in-law Gary (Mary) Peterson, Otisville, MI; her cherished grandchildren Cole Peterson, Katelyn (Kyle) Green, and Finlee Peterson; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Addison and Silas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Peterson; her son, Timothy Peterson; her brothers, Emil (Loretta) Nosal, Raymond Nosal, and John Nosal; and her parents, Frank and Clara Nosal.

Marion’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband Dale and her son Timothy, resting in eternal peace. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
