Marlys Kluck

Marlys E. (Robertsdahl) Kluck was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was born Marlys Edna Weight on October 23, 1937 to parents Walter and Pearl (Joern) Weight near LaMoure, ND. She graduated from Oakes, ND High School and moved to Fargo, ND where she attended Interstate Business College. She married Ellsworth Robertsdahl and they moved from Fargo, to Hickson, and then settled near Walcott, ND. Together, they farmed and raised a family. Marlys managed the home and garden, Ellsworth the farm and animals. They weathered droughts, floods, a barn fire, illness and the loss of 2 children. They enjoyed belonging to Walcott Lutheran Church, a large extended family on both sides, and a long-awaited trip to Norway. Marlys’ talents ranged from gardening (weeding) and canning, to sewing and many other arts and crafts. She also loved to sing hymns at church. After Ellsworth retired, Marlys went to work for Mrs. Blow’s and deLendrecie’s in their alterations departments, and later out of their own home.

Marlys enjoyed spending time at the Fargo Senior’s Center, where she met Ronald Kluck, whom she later married.

Marlys is preceded in death by her husbands, parents, four brothers: William, Merle, David and Arlen; son Dale and daughter Lorie.

She is survived by sons Mark (Sheila), Devils Lake, ND; Keith (Patti), Breckenridge, MN; Steven (Lana), Valley City, ND and Leigh, Morristown, MN; and daughter Barbara (Brian Pavek), Maple Grove, MN; brother Neil (Kathie) Weight, Brookings, SD, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staffs of Bethany and Hospice for caring for her this past year.
