Mavis passed away on November 13, 2025, in Fargo, ND, under the care of Hospice.
Mavis was born on June 9, 1931, the daughter of Allan and Ruby (Martin) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Robert Strack on May 5, 1951.
Mavis is survived by her three children – Deb (Mike) McDonald, Bruce (Brenda G.) Strack, and Brian Strack; her five grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Gary; and her husband, Bob.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
I am so sorry to hear about Mavis. I have so many memories of your family starting from the time we lived on 13th Ave and 18th Street. I remember getting rides to St. Mark’s for Bible School because my Mom didn’t drive. Attending Sunday School and Confirmation with Bruce. Then we all ended up at Bethlehem and my family seemed to always sit right behind your family. Sending Love and Prayers to You All.

Strak family my deepest condolences to you. I have fond memories playing as children while our parents (Jack and Mary’s Hilleboe) were having their own fun. Also let’s not forget Saturdays at the bowling alley in Moorhead!
