Norma Elsie Jones, age 94, passed away on December 3, 2025, at Fargo Elim Care Center after a short stay after being at home until November.

Norma was born on July 13, 1931, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Thorvold and Elsie (Kirsch) Jensen. Norma’s journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Norma grew up in Elliott, North Dakota, where she laid the foundation of her spirited personality. Norma enjoyed telling her great grandchildren about how she would ride her horse (Beauty) to Elliot school when she was young. After graduating from Lisbon High School, she briefly ventured into the bustling life of Minneapolis as a waitress, experiencing the vibrancy of the city before returning home to become a secretary for Fargo Paint and Glass.

On November 19, 1950, she married Lee Jones (whom she knew from high school), and together they built a loving home in Fargo. Norma’s life was enriched by her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from cheering on her children and grandchildren, rarely missing a wrestling match or basketball game. She loved tennis, bowling, and cards. She proudly coached her son’s baseball team, affectionately named the Wildcats after her beloved Buick Wildcat. Norma embraced every moment, calling herself Bucky Maughn’s #1 Fan and fostering a spirit of unwavering support within her family.

Norma is survived by her brother Ron Jensen; children; Terry Jones, Loveland, CO, Tim (Cheryl) Jones Fargo, ND, and her five treasured grandchildren: Tony and Cassie Jones, Justin (Breanna) Jones, Tanner (Macey) Jones, and Taylor (Josh) Thoreson, along with 13 adoring great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Lee, parents Thorvold and Elsie, brother Al Jensen, sister-in-law Pat Jensen, and granddaughter Nicole Jones.
