Paul Carl Heuer, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 while at home in Fargo, ND.

Paul was born March 18, 1955 in Fargo, ND to Carl and Wilma (Miller) Heuer. The family lived in Davenport, ND and Paul grew up helping on the family farm. After high school, he completed culinary training at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Paul worked as a chef in various restaurants in Fargo, ND and later in Minneapolis, MN. He returned to Fargo in 1989 to help is parents farm. Later in life, Paul was a great support to his mother, Wilma and assisted with shopping and appointments.

Paul always enjoyed music and when disco became popular in the 70’s, he excelled in disco dancing. There, he met his life-long friend, Jeanette Swenson, and the two were great partners both on the dance floor and in life. Besides music, Paul and Jeanette enjoyed their cats and traveling together.

Paul loved his classic cars and often took his cars to local car shows. He was often seen driving around town in one of his favorite cars. Paul enjoyed meeting new people and visiting.

Paul is survived by his aunt, Ruby (Heuer) Forbes, Arvada, CO; cousin DeeAnn (Buchholz) Vrem and her husband Alan and son Josh, Monticello, MN, cousin Lowell (Sue) Buchholz; and other Heuer and Miller family cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Wilma Heuer, his sister, Lori Ann Heuer, aunt and uncle DeLores (Miller) and Leslie Buchholz, and his grandparents, Adolph and Esther Heuer and Emil and Clara Miller.

In lieu of flowers, Paul’s family requests donations be made to Homeward Animal Shelter and Cats Cradle.
