Peter Joseph Miller, age 82, of Moorhead MN passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born in 1939 in New York, the youngest son of Peter and Helen Miller. He entered the Air Force at the age of 17 and served for 8 years as a firefighter. Pete met the love of his life, Wanda Mack and they married in 1968. Together they raised three daughters. Pete graduated from Concordia College in 1974 with a major in business - accounting. He later earned his CPA and Enrolled Agent certifications. Although he worked various jobs throughout his career, he was most proud of his tax practice in Moorhead, MN which he operated for the past 45 years. He cherished the relationships he developed with his clients. Pete enjoyed spending time at their lake home in Ottertail, MN and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, oil painting and woodworking. He and Wanda enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and most recently made everlasting memories while in Hawaii, England, Ireland and Scotland. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda; children, Patti (Darcey) Schulz, Kathy (Randy) Gallegos, Christi (Blaine) Rohrich; Pete was proud of his grandpa status to grandchildren, Wesley (Marissa) Schulz, Brittany (Landon) Schank, Wyatt (Morgan) Schulz, Easton, Kyrie and Hope Gallegos, BreAnna Rohrich, McKenna and Talon Briggs and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roger and Clifford and his dog Peppe Lou. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. Everyone is welcome to attend this service – for those unable, the service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. A reception will follow in the Celebration of Life Center at Boulger Funeral Home.

  2. Pete was such a great guy. I had many sleepovers with Chris at the Miller’s and he and Wanda put up with all of our shenanigans without complaint. Such a kind man. Hugs to the whole Miller Clan.

  3. I met Pete while working at Sam’s Club and started having him do our taxes. Pete was always fun to visit with and full of life. My deepest sympathy to the Miller family. He was very proud of his family and spoke of them often during our tax appointments. I will miss our visits. May you feel God’s presence during this difficult times.

  4. I always looked forward to get my taxes done so I could get my visit in with Pete. Pete was such a great person was always proud of his art and he should be he did a great job. I feel I lost a part of my family as he passed. I have gone to Pete for many years and got to know him well. He loved his family alot for he would talk about you all and how proud he was.
