Rick passed on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Essentia Hospital at the age of 65. He was born May 2, 1960, to Alice Weishaar and the late Bert Weishaar.

He grew up in Bennedict, ND area and graduated from Max High School. Rick was united in marriage to Dorothy Van Watermulen on July 15, 1988. They made their home in Fargo, ND.

Rick worked for Cass Clay Creamery for twenty years, ten years at Buhler Manufacturing, and five years at RiteScreen.

Rick enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and singing at retirement centers and to many friends and family. He was an excellent carpenter. He had flipped houses and could fix almost anything.

Rick leaves behind his wife, Dorothy; children Danae, Ryan, and Jenna; grandchildren Keenan, Nakaya, and Nickolas; great-granddaughter Everson; sister Lori (Marty) Matthys; and brother Scott (Maren) Weishaar.
