Ronald “Ron” Oknick, age 76, of Fargo, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at Sheyenne Crossings.

Ron was born on February 25, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Ronald and Catherine Oknick. He was the oldest of 5 siblings. Ron attended Southwest Minnesota State College and graduated in 1971 with a degree in Engineering Technology. He spent many years working alongside his father, Ronald, at RKO, a time he deeply valued. Later, Ron continued his career as a design engineer until his retirement in 2020.

Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, including hunting, fishing, coaching and training, and collecting a variety of items he treasured. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them excel in their lives. In his final years, he cherished the opportunity to take a memorable fishing trip to Devils Lake, North Dakota, with his three sons.

Ron is survived by his former wife, Jeanne Boettcher; their 3 sons, Scott, Brian (Nicole), and Todd; grandchildren, Porter, Spencer, Addison, Brynley, Everett, and Levi; sisters, Barbara and Christine; along with many other family and friends.

Ron is preceded in death by both of his parents, Ronald and Catherine Oknick; siblings, Marjorie and Timothy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Boulger Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
