Theresa Jane Richter, 47, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2021 in Fargo, ND. Theresa was born November 27, 1973 in Moorhead, MN, to Ronald and Beverly Olson. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1993 and she later married Brian Richter and had two children, Austin and Cody. Theresa had various jobs but was mainly a homemaker after her boys were born. Theresa was a patient, loving and kind person and above all she loved being a mother to her boys and an auntie her nephews John and Jeremy. However, in 2005 a motorcycle accident changed her life, and she became an amputee and was forever a changed person. With the loss of her limb her already fragile self-esteem was shattered and her despair inconsolable. Years later she divorced and struggled the last years of her life with alcoholism and addiction, depression, and other health related illnesses. Theresa enjoyed reading, writing, drawing trees and reminiscing about her childhood. She was especially close to her nephew Johnathon Fosmark and her cousin Crystal Smith (Clark). Theresa is lovingly remembered by her special friend, Davis, her children Austin (Krista Olstad), Fargo, ND, Cody Richter, Fargo, ND, her parents Ronald and Sue Olson, Moorhead, MN, her mom, Beverly Craig, Ogema, MN, her sister Renee Fosmark (Olson), Moorhead, MN, her ex-husband Brian (Tina) Richter, Fargo, ND, step-brothers Todd Egerdahl, Fargo, ND, Tracy (Bridget) Egerdahl, Moorhead, MN, Travis Egerdahl (Susie Curtis), Fargo, ND, half-siblings, Chester Retz, Stella (Brian) Hazelton, David Retz, and Tina Retz, all from Callaway, MN, and several aunties and uncles and nieces and nephews. Theresa is preceded in death by her grandparents Sigurd and Berth Olson, grandmother Martha Sanders, grandfather Patrick Clark, grandfather Howard Jackson, aunt Jana Christian, and aunt Marlene Olson, uncles Richard Olson, SGT. John A. Olson, Randy Olson, Larry Sinsioco, John Clark, James Clark and cousin, “Jimmy” James Clark. Tree “Mitig” is whole again. Service will take place on Wednesday, May 12 at 2:00 with visitation one hour prior at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo, ND. With live streaming available for those that cannot attend.

  3. So sorry to hear of Theresa passing. I have been friends with Ronny since grade school in Dilworth. He was such a good father and brought Theresa and Renee to our lake cabin years ago and they had a fun time.

    I loved you dearly, and loved working with you when you wanted to go through the book… your eyes lit up like you had found some yummy candy 😁 I’ll never forget your beautiful smile and your twinkling eyes… you have left us too soon, yet I don’t doubt God’s plan… He took you home to be whole again, and we’ll see each other again when it’s time… I love you still…😢😭😢 please rest now, in Paradise.

  6. Ron, Sue, Renee, and the rest of the family,. Sorry to hear of Theresa’s passing and it hurts to know of the struggles she went through. I have watched those kids grow over the years and remember her and Renee with Ron way back. We have seen God work some miracles in your lives and believe he has Theresa in his care today. Praying for healing to the entire family and God’s blessings.
