Born in: Williston, North Dakota
Resided in: Fargo, North Dakota

Wade Klee Privratsky, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at Fargo Elim Care Center on July 6, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1960, to Charles and Ellen (Klee) Privratsky in Williston, ND. Growing up, Wade excelled at sports, setting many records in football and baseball. After graduating high school in Williston, he was invited to a baseball training camp in California, then later began studies in Dickinson, ND.

In 1987, Wade met Shaunna Hunt, a college girl who loved libraries and interior design. They went to several Twins baseball games, and she even tricked him into riding The Zipper…once!

Wade and Shaunna were married June 1, 1991, and moved to Fargo, ND. He was a Warehouse Manager at Builder’s Square, Fleet Farm and several other businesses. They welcomed a daughter in 1993 and a son in 1996.

On June 23, 2003, Wade suffered an anoxic brain injury and was permanently disabled. Shaunna became his full-time caregiver and was able to care for him at home for 20 years. They raised two beautiful children, Erica and Alex.

Wade enjoyed going to the Lake, spending time with family and friends and the kitties at home. A favorite activity of his was watching the Twins and the Vikings play…and win every once in a while.

Wade is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shaunna Privratsky, his daughter Erica Privratsky (Brennen Klover) of New Hope, MN, his son Alex (Hannah) Privratsky of Fargo, ND and his brother Wynn (Lori) Privratsky of Williston, ND. Wade was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Wade could lift anyone’s spirits with his smile and positive attitude. He was an amazing husband and a wonderful father. He will be dearly missed more than words can say.

What a beautiful tribute to your sweet husband and father. Not getting to see him often, I enjoyed him and his company various times we were together. Wade was very fond of our daughter Hannah who would soon be his daughter in-law, and she was very fond of her father in-law. He had tremendous spirit and lived his life with no expectations, was genuinely kind gracious and happy! I won’t forget the feelings I had when I first met him several years ago. We are very sorry for your family’s loss and we will miss him along with you. Love to you all.
