Robin Elizabeth McDonough was born on May 20th, 1956 at Selfridge Air Force Base, MI, and passed away on October 5th, 2020 in Fargo, ND. She was born to John Richard McDonough and Grace Nedra (Beck) McDonough. She was the second of six daughters. Robin graduated from Warren High School in 1974, and then joined the U.S. Navy and served on Active Duty from February 16, 1988 to March 6, 1998 as a Navy Storekeeper. After leaving the military, Robin settled down in Fargo, ND, and commenced working for NDSU, first in the Admissions Office, then at Facilities Management. Robin is preceded in death by her father, John R. McDonough. She is survived by her mother, Grace McDonough, Fargo, ND; and her sisters Cynthia Hope (McDonough) Levenhagen, Roseau, MN; Debra Lynne McDonough, Sabin, MN; Aline Marie McDonough, Sabin, MN; Krystal Michelle McDonough, Fargo, ND; and Jennifer Leigh (McDonough) Hunteman, Moorhead, MN. Robin’s wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her father in the McKinley Cemetery, located north of Lancaster, MN. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2020, at the Boulger Funeral Home. Friends and family are most welcome to come pay their last respects to Robin, and help celebrate her life.

  9. I was a high school classmate of Robin and am saddened to have just learned of her death. I ran into Robin a couple times when I was employed at NDSU. Although we were not close friends in school, I was always impressed with her humble and quiet but friendly way. I remember her as a bookworm and she was always kind to me when we crossed paths in school as well as NDSU. Rest in Peace, Robin. You are the kind of woman who will sit right at God’s side in heaven.
