Abraham I. Cooper, 90, Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND, died at Bethany Homes on Saturday, April 29, 2006. Abraham I. Cooper was born on March 6, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Louis and Dora (Schneider) Cooper. He grew up in this area and attended public schools and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School. He later attended City College of New York. After his education Abraham tried out for the Brooklyn Dodgers and was accepted on the team. Abraham was united in marriage to Edith Botzin on November 7, 1948 in Boston. They made their home in New York. He began working for his father at Louis Cooper Millinery. He also worked for Malino Veil Company from 1963 until 1967 and then began his career with Aristocrat Leather Products as Sales Manager. He retired and moved to Fargo in 1984. During his retirement, Abraham coached baseball for a number of years for his grandsons baseball team. Abraham is survived by his daughter, Susan (Stephen) Plambeck of Fargo; his beloved grandchildren, Michael (Angie) Plambeck and Shaina Plambeck; many nieces and nephews. Memorials are preferred to Temple Beth El or Bethany Homes. Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 3, 2006, 12:00 noon ?
