Agnes Brunelle

agnes brunelle
Agnes passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo, ND at the age of 94. Agnes Rheault was born on September 15, 1920, near Wild Rice, ND, the daughter of Louie and Anna (Trottier) Rheault. She grew up in this area and attended school at St. Benedict’s in Wild Rice. Agnes was united in marriage to Marcel Brunelle on September 8, 1941, at St. Benedicts Church. They farmed near South Fargo for many years before moving into Fargo in 1984. Marcel passed away on August 10, 1998. Agnes moved to Riverview Place in April of 1999 and to Sheyenne Crossings in April of 2010. During her last years she enjoyed meeting new friends, playing cards and bingo, and visiting with the many family and friends that stopped by to see her. She was a lifelong faithful member of Nativity Church and was proud to be nominated by Riverview Place as “Mother of the Year” through the Presentation Sisters Convent. Agnes was a loving mother and grandmother and dear friend to many. She will be remembered for many things, especially for the delicious apple pies she baked. Agnes is survived by her three daughters, Yvonne Barsgard of Moorhead, MN; Mary (Bill) King of Fargo, ND; and Nancy (Steven) Conyers of Bailey, CO; six grandchildren – Gregory, Susan, Jennifer, Cherie, Eric, and Amy; nine great grandchildren (soon to be ten) and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters - Theresa Brunelle, Cecelia Kvande, Lucille (Tom) Sautman, Delores (Lynn) Larson, and Florence Albrecht; and her brothers - Jerome (Jaylene) Rheault and Alphonse Rheault; and many nieces and nephews and other very dear relatives.
