Aiden Josiah Azure-Kappes, 4, of Moorhead, MN passed away on September 13, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born on December 8, 2015 to Monique Lin Azure and Tylor Charles Kappes in Rochester. Aiden loved the lake, where he enjoyed swimming, fishing, building sandcastles, boating, kayaking, and playing with his cousins whom he referred to as friends. He also liked playing Minecraft and Roblox. Aiden always loved a great meal and appreciated the little things in life. Aiden looked up to his brother, Eli, and enjoyed spending time with his sister, Keyarah. Aiden was a light in his mother and father’s eyes. His life was never promised but always cherished. In the short time God blessed us with him, he had a heartful impact on many. He often referred to himself as having a golden heart. He loved to dress up and pretend he was a superhero so much that he believed he was a superhero. With his strength and love, he convinced us all that he was. He will be missed dearly but forever in our hearts. Aiden is survived by his mother, Monique Azure, Moorhead; father, Tylor (Amanda) Kappes, Moorhead; siblings, Elijah Kappes, Moorhead; Sam Kappes, Shelly, MN; Murphy Kappes, Moorhead; step-siblings, Aubrey and Colton of Moorhead; grandma, Marie (Jesus Rios) Belgrade, Moorhead; grandpa, Philip (Melinda Belgarde) Azure, Dunseith, ND; grandma, Lori (Craig) Neumiller, Roosevelt, MN; grandpa, Frank Kappes; sister, Keyarah Azure, Moorhead; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Gladys and John Belgarde, Martha and Francis Azure, Lula Kappes, and Charles (Julia) Larson.
