Ann Tweten

May 04, 1938 - October 29, 2020

Ann M. Tweten, 82 of West Fargo, peacefully went to heaven Thursday October 29, 2020, with her daughter at her bedside. Ann currently was living at Sheyenne Crossing Nursing Home where she suffered many grueling years with dementia.

Ann was born May 4, 1938 in Fort Yates ND, to Phillip and Theckla (Zerr) Wetch. She was raised in rural Fort Yates and was 13th in what would be 14 children. Ann spent her early years working in the hospitality industry. She had an early retirement and spent many years living at their lake home on lake Eunice, near Detroit Lakes, MN. Ann enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing, and her passion was having family dinners and gatherings. Ann’s greatest love was for sure her family. Everyone was always welcome, “just throw another spud in the kettle” she’d say. Ann had an infectious smile and laugh. She made everyone feel welcome and had a great love of her Catholic faith.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Sharon Frey (Bob), Deborah Taasaas; granddaughters, Michelle Soldier (David), Melanie Kartes, Rey Wulf (Allyssa), Ashley Hodge, Alicia Camp; great grandchildren, Taylor, Faith, Camron, Ashley and Rowan; four brothers, Anton, Chris, Joe and Al; and one sister, Virginia.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Wes Tweten; parents; sister, Rose; and brothers, Bud, John, Phillip, George, Adam, Frank, and Elmer

COVID 19 precautions will be in effect, this will be an immediate family/friend’s funeral, please feel free to sign the online guestbook, in lieu of memorials/flowers, please send memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley or charity of your choice.
